It was 2009, I was an exchange student in Tokyo. And I found a tattoo artist, and he spoke English at that time, so it was a small studio in his apartment in Ekibukuro.

And the experience just sucked me in, and I just kept going back. I didn’t finish, though, because it hurt too bad, and then COVID happened, and I came back.
