What got you interested in tattoos?
I played sports growing up. As a kid, and looking at TV and seeing all these athletes, I’ve always just wanted to be different, but fit in representing my art or creativity.
Unfortunately, in going out through life, I wasn’t able to pursue that as much as I probably could have. So I ended up getting tattoos to take it and own it to when I go to the gates.
Because you hear everything about whether you’re a sinner or not, right? And for me, my father was never in my life, but he was one in church. So he never really found the time for me. So it was another question that I have like untold answers. So I can go deeper to that, but it’s really more of a corrective like space and holding space of like virtue.
Is there a tattoo that you could show me that could represent some of that?
My great grandfather was a person to who made the space needle possible. He wasn’t the designer, he didn’t create the blueprint, but he made it possible .

Yeah, and then, I gotta say “Duke”, my nickname, my grandfather gave it to me.
